Departure times From Nieuwendijk, a ferry departs daily for Tiengemeten every hour on the hour between 10.00 and 17.00. In the summer season, the ferry even continues until 19.00 at weekends, taking you to the island or back to the mainland in ten minutes. Nieuwendijk pick-up point When driving from the Hoeksche Waard, follow the signs for Zuid-Beijerland and then Nieuwendijk. Then follow the signs for Tiengemeten (and ‘veerdienst’, the ferry). The Natural Heritage Association (Natuurmonumenten) has a large car park near the pick-up point with free parking.
