While there are pleasant paths for walking, you can easily opt to go off the beaten track as well. You might get lucky and spot a spoon- bill, a beaver, or Scottish Highland cows. Have a look at the old lighthouse on the pier, or the historic bridge in the town. If you prefer to head out on the water, then hire a canoe at the marina, and paddle your way through the reserve. The marina also rents out bikes and electric scooters for exploring the Hoeksche Waard .
