A visit to the unique island starts in the recently renovated visitor centre, where you can obtain information, bike or tandem rentals, children's activities, and gifts and ice creams. On Tiengemeten, you can walk, cycle, enjoy birds and the meadow landscape. You can also visit the Rien Poortvliet and Agricultural (Landbouw) museums and /or have lunch at Gasterij de Gezusters or TinyParks Tiengemeten. There are also facilities for hosting meetings on the island, or exploring it with a guide. From 1 May to the end of October, children can enjoy themselves for hours in the large natural playground: Speelnatuur. The standard opening times for Speelnatuur are Wednesday afternoons (13.15 - 16.30 pm), and Saturdays and Sundays (10.15 am - 16.30 pm). During school holidays between 1 May and 31 October, opening times are from Tuesday to Sunday (10.15 am - 16.30 pm). PLEASE NOTE: between 1 April and 1 November, almost everything is open from Tuesday all the way through to Sunday.
